Amazing Artist Mary Mikels Concert!

The Templeton Residents were enjoyed an afternoon concert by artist Mary Mikels. Mary is a Raleigh native-born. She was born totally blind with hearing loss. Despite the loss of hearing in her left ear, she has perfect pitch. The concert blended several genres. An incredible talent! Performance included Classical, Broadway , Rogers and Hammerstein and Opera. Additionally, singing Patriotic and Christian Gospel music.

Between songs she entertained our 80-some residents with stories about her life and funny antidotes. She was selected by American Idol in the first round and was a finalist in Blind Idol. She also performed with The Tenors at Christmastime and the North Carolina Master Chorale.

The Templeton Residents were captivated by Mary and we can’t wait to have her back!
