Here is what we are doing at our community:
We are following CDC and local Health Department guidelines for infection control and personal protective equipment for all of our staff.
We are monitoring the CDC and local Health Department guidelines and meeting with our leadership and staff to ensure that all of our employees understand and follow the latest guidelines.
We are disinfecting our facilities and offices using products approved by the CDC, we are making rounds to ensure that our spaces are clean and employees are following the infection control practices recommended by CDC.
We are keeping you updated with Ambassador calls and One Call notifications to our families.
We have set up an email for staff to email questions and concerns and leadership rounds to address questions on the spot.
We are pre-screening our employees prior to each shift using a screening tool that reflects questions that allow us to screen for exposure and temperature checks prior to each shift.

January 5, 2020: The Templeton of Cary COVID-19 Vaccine Update and FAQs
The Templeton of Cary, including Swift Creek Health Center, has scheduled an onsite vaccination clinic for 1/15/2021. With the proper documentation, all residents and employees can opt to receive their COVID-19 (Moderna) vaccine on this day. We will keep this page updated as future clinic dates are scheduled.

To prevent and reduce the spread of COVID-19, The Templeton of Cary (including Swift Creek Health Center at The Templeton) is actively working to schedule an onsite vaccination clinic for both our residents and staff members.

December 15, 2020: The Templeton of Cary COVID-19 Vaccine Update
The Templeton and Swift Creek Health Center are registered to be included in the COVID-19 vaccine distribution and will be participating in the program based on prioritization guidance from state regulatory agencies.
At this time, we are still receiving information and instructions from several governing agencies, including the CDC, which will help to shape our rollout strategy and necessary procedures to administer to Residents and staff.

Our Sales Team is available for scheduled, virtual tours and appointments, and is available to answer your questions about The Templeton of Cary.
We continue to welcome new residents one at a time, maintaining their safety and the safety of those that have previously made the move to The Templeton. All new residents must adhere to the following precautions.
To protect the health and safety of our staff and residents in our community, we are following several recommended precautions as outlined by the CDC.
EVERYONE CAN DO THEIR PART TO HELP! Prevent and Protect encourages everyone to:
- Practice the 3Ws and Wear a cloth covering over their nose and mouth; Wait six feet apart; and Wash their hands often.
- Get tested for COVID-19 and use Find My Testing Place to locate a nearby testing site.
- Answer the call and participate in the contact tracing process if they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
The following precautions apply to Independent Living Residences ONLY:
- Limited visitors permitted
- Mandatory screening activities
- Communal dining is permitted adhering to social distancing guidelines and CDC recommended safety precautions
- Group activities are permitted for groups of 10 people or less
- Universal use of facial cloth coverings for residents, visitors, and staff when in community areas or while with any staff member
Swift Creek Health Center – Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing:
We are looking forward to welcoming our first residents next week. The safety of our new residents, current Templeton Independent Living residents, and staff members is our top priority.

We welcomed our first residents into our independent living apartments this week! We are very excited to have them and want to confirm the health and safety of our residents and staff are our top priority. The community will follow the CDC’s recommended safety precautions for retirement living communities. The following precautions are in place:
- Visitors are limited and must be approved by the community
- Mandatory screening activities are conducted for approved visitors
- Utilization of universal cloth mask facial coverings for residents while out of apartments and staff while interacting with residents and each other
- Socially distanced dining experiences

As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread and concerns continue to grow, The Templeton of Cary has decided to take precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our future residents, family members, customers and staff. Much about the virus is still unknown, but we do know that the population we serve is at greater risk for the most serious impacts associated with this new strain of virus.
The wellbeing of our future and prospective residents and visitors is our priority. Based upon revised recommendations of The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (“CMS”) and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), The Templeton of Cary will be limiting visitors to the sales office in order to help combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus. During this time, we invite you to connect with the sales staff via telephone, email, texts or even through video chats. Taking these precautions is vital to helping us avoid and minimize the possible spread of this virus in the community at large.
