Many seniors are able to live independently in our retirement community, or with just a little assistance. A resident of assisted living may still drive and lead an active life, while getting help with certain daily activities and challenges.
An integral part of The Templeton of Cary, Swift Creek Health Center offers residential accommodations with individualized assistance for things like administering medication, showering, preparing meals, and dressing in support garments.
Residential choices include studios and one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartments. The larger accommodations provide a comfortable option for couples, respecting the desire for married couples to remain together.
The loss of cognitive abilities can result in unsafe situations in the home, as well as fatigue in family members who provide care to the person whose memory is failing.
Swift Creek Health Center within The Templeton offers accommodations with memory support for those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s or other dementia conditions. Our care emphasizes what our residents are able to do, rather than what they can’t.
Here, residents live in a safe environment, celebrating their remaining abilities, while family members gain peace of mind that their loved one is in appropriate surroundings to live their fullest life.

Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing
The rehabilitation and skilled nursing areas of Swift Creek Health Center provide accommodations to address needs that arise from the unforeseen circumstances of growing older. Whether the condition is the result of a fall, a joint replacement, a heart attack or a stroke, it is the mission of our rehabilitation center to restore residents to their highest level of functioning.
For those who need longer term solutions, Swift Creek’s skilled nursing services provide ongoing attention from RNs, LPNs and CNAs, all under the supervision of a MD who serves as the medical director.
Certified Nxtgen Care Community
How It Works:
All our residents and front-line staff are outfitted with a wearable social bracelet. This bracelet works in tandem with solar-powered, wall-mounted sensors to gather data on resident and staff movement & engagements. With this information, our staff is empowered to focus on enhancing the unique care they provide to each of our residents. This includes more efficiently responding to resident care requests to proactively monitor residents’ social engagement helping staff monitor the health and well being of our residents.
Resident families are also given access to a web-based application. From their smartphone, families have access to real-time care insights – a window into the daily life of mom and/or dad. This includes: the activities and meals they attend, their physical activity, how much they engage with other residents, staff requests/response times, how well isolated they are during an infection, and more.
